2013년에 처음 제정된 이 상을 받기 위해 지난 6년 동안 전 세계 30개 국가에 있는 120개의 특별한 조직들이 218건의 자료를 제출했다. 여기에는 올해 호주, 중국, 홍콩SAR, 인도, 일본과 싱가포르 등의 아시아태평양 지역에서 두 개 부문 즉, 우수 ICT 성취 부문과 우수 ICT 혁신 부문에 자료를 제출한 22건이 들어 있다.

우수 ICT 혁신 부문
- 아폴로병원주식회사, 인도 - 인도 국민을 위해 개발하였으며 머신러닝을 활용한 다인성 심혈관 질환 예측 툴
- 아라빈드안과병원-폰디체리, 인도 - 치료할 수 있었지만, 실명에 이른 인도 농촌 지역의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 전자 의료 기록을 활용한 저렴한 비용의 기술
- 나나바티수퍼스페셜티병원, 인도 - 임상의의 직무 혹은 기존 절차를 바꾸지 않고 외래진료실의 EHR 갭을 해결
- 왕립아동병원, 호주 - 텔레헬스(동영상) 방문 최적화

Improving the Quality of Patient Care: Finalists revealed for the Asia Pacific HIMSS-Elsevier Digital Healthcare Award 2018

Since its inception in 2013, the award has received 218 submissions in six years across 30 countries and 120 unique organizations globally. The winners will be revealed at the HIMSS-Elsevier Award dinner reception at the HIMSS AsiaPac18 Conference & Exhibition on November 5, 2018, in Brisbane, Australia.

We have seen an increase in the rate of Medical Emergency Team (MET) calls and a 14 percent increase in hospital admissions since the EMR implementation. This has co-related with the trend of lower in-hospital mortality.

"EMR implementation has also enabled the number of scheduled TeleHealth visits per quarter to increase 450 percent. The TeleHealth innovation has also resulted in major service growth with great benefits for our more distant patients and their families."
